We also provide ongoing care and treatment for people living with HIV. Problems in older women are mostly social and emotional but hormones also play a part as we get older. It is possible to have sexually transmitted infection without actually knowing about it. That is why it is important, if you have ever been sexually active, that you should have a check-up with your doctor or health nurse at least once a year. Women are encouraged to discuss their health needs with a health practitioner.
